Derived from the Akan language of Ghana, Sankofa means: “It is not wrong to go back for that which you have forgotten.”

At Sankofa Living & Learning, we believe in intertwining sustainable living, education, and cultural identity. Our NGO creates spaces where individuals — especially children and youth of the African diaspora — can learn, grow, and reconnect with nature and themselves.

📚 Education & Knowledge Programs

We develop learning content focused on sustainability, entrepreneurship, and technology. Our offerings include workshops, webinars, and training programs such as the Sankofa Learning Hub and Together is Better, promoting accessible digital learning materials for all.

🏕️ Off-Grid & Nature Experiences

Through initiatives like Camp Calma in Portugal 🇵🇹, we offer eco-retreat experiences, off-grid living workshops, and tiny house concepts. These programs are designed to educate and promote sustainable living practices.

🎶 Culture & Music

We actively support cultural initiatives and creative digital projects, including music project development like AfroKitchenMusic, and organizing creative events, workshops, and retreats that promote socially impactful creative media and content.

Members of our NGO gain access to exclusive content, e-books, and courses, directly supporting our educational and cultural projects.

Become a Member

Join our community with a membership starting at €10 per month. The first 400 members receive a 50% discount on the annual membership fee when paying €60 upfront for the first year. After the initial 400 members, an annual upfront payment offers a 25% discount, totaling €90 per year. Your membership grants you access to our comprehensive knowledge base and directly supports our educational and cultural projects.

One-Time Purchases for a Good Cause

Our e-books and courses are also available for individual purchase, with all proceeds funding our initiatives.

Donations & Partnerships
